This is a known problem, but it is not announced loudly as it should be.It is Xiaomi’s policy to LOCK their security cameras to the countries they are sold.So if we buy the camera through an international site alike Amazon, but the camera was originally intended to be sold in Singapore, then you must change the setting on the Xiaomi mobile app to recognise the camera.Problem is that some people like me already has various Xiaomi devices, which require the Region setting to be pointing to one country. Problem is the new camera has another country as its Region.Hence there should be a loud announcement in the advertisement which region the camera is for.

Ich habe mir extra eine Xiaomi Camera am 7.11.2024 bei Amazon gekauft, weil ich schon drei habe und alle in einer APP einrichten kann. Am Anfang lief alles gut. doch dann kamen Aussetzer und nun ein halbes Jahr später ist totenstille . Sämptliche Reaktivierungsversuche blieben erfolglos. Da kann ich mir von Temu eine Camera für weniger Geld holen und die halten länger.
