    Excellent

Very happy with this smart lock. Works every time using fingerprint, NFC, code. Installation went well and I would highly recommend it. Connection to the hub is stable, no problems at all.

    Finger print very bad

Chinese product. Low quality materials. Fingerprint scanner is weak. Nfc apple key very weak. App is good. Overal design is good. But does not feel premium.

    Perfect

Love it, no issues for me. Build quality is top notch. Batteries are at 99% after 2 weeks so go figure what the other reviewer had for issues. Using this daily btw.Done the install myself incl. mortising the door converting from 2 round locks (lots of fun) part of which was, as per install. video, using an angle grinder to cut off the 2 hooks. That showed me how tough the metal used is. Impressive and what you want on a lock.Finger print reader is excellent. Touch screen as well (child and pensioner proof and works for them reliably too. Priceless!)I see no issue with the strike plate. 2 were suplied and the one I used has the pertruding lip which extends beyond my door frame so no probs (lock is not hitting any wood). I’m guessing this varies per house,Lastly the Aqara app using BT works fine as expected.(I’m still waiting for the M3 hub to get Zigbee working and further integrations from there to google home, apple homekit, get NFC working and link further to HaaS and find out how Aqara app works over the internet. Let the fun begin with all integrated at once. Works fine btw on the U300 locks that have Matter over Thread).Last note, the mechanic key is a bit long. It’s an upgrade to U300, but now I have 2 completely different keys. Could be seen as a plus.

  9. John merritt

Needs a much larger strike plate

Strike plate is very small and needs an option for modern large doors or even a online purpose option from Aqara for larger strike platesDoor handle itself works 98% of the time. Seems to hate my wife’s thumb and works with everyone else in the family, even her sister 🤷‍♂️Apple Watch or phone also works well with little to no requirement for a retry.I’d buy it again

    Poor Battery

I’ve had the Aqara A100 for just over a year and its lasted 1 month at best on 8 batteries, constantly changing them and being locked out of the house as there is no warning that the batteries are dying… I also didn’t want to take the key with me because its massive but now I’m forced to because I don’t know when the batteries will go flat. Have attempted to contact Aqara support multiple times but have never received a response, now the warranty has expired.
